Going Postal
My local post office has an abysmal record when it comes to getting my mail, so of course my online shopping habit has been a bit quelled…so anyway, I ordered some items from Kaarme and my mail carrier took his sweet time getting them to me. They arrived just in time for my hot Valentine’s Day date with Sean!
We don’t make a huge deal out of the day, but it is a nice excuse to get schmoopy and go out for some fun. We saw “The Woman In Black,” which wasn’t great on its own, but was definitely improved by the terrified teenagers screaming all around us (while we laughed like the jaded horror fans we are).
I got a couple of shirts from Kaarme and a tote bag — all from the previous season’s line, as again, the mail is terrible around here. Worth the wait — big comfortable soft paper-thin shirts are my favorites. The tote was big enough to sneak this heart-shaped box of chocolates into the movie, which is all I can ask for when theater popcorn is $8 a bag.
If you haven’t jumped on the Hellraisers bandwagon yet, I encourage you to do so. I was trying to hold back and save money, until of course I found a crazy deal (coupon codes are my best friends), at which point I fell apart and ordered them anyway. They look like deadly weapons, but they feel soft and comfortable like slippers — I’ve been wearing them everywhere. My not-quite-two-year-old cousin was fascinated with them over the holidays; hopefully she grows up to be another little brutal fashionista. (Lillehammer is also intrigued, as you can see.)
What kind of retail therapy has been carrying you through the winter? I can’t wait to get back into shorts and sandals…
