What’s Behind That Curtain?

Why, it’s Rob Halford, on a sweet cruiser, singing Hellbent For Leather in a holographic glitter trench!

Faster than a laser bullet!

Faster than a laser bullet!

Priest’s “last” tour (we’ll see how long that lasts) stopped in at the Tsongas Arena so of course I went! I have maintained a longstanding one-sided crush on Halford since I was like, twelve. I had to. All their hits came out and then some, there were more costume changes than a Gravesideservice show, covers of Diamonds & Rust and The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown), and we got three encores. Worth the ticket price and having to throw out all of my lighters at the door.

Want to see video of Rob dreamily riding his steel horse out onto the stage? Well you’re in luck, because somebody snuck their camera past security! Perhaps you’d rather see photos from an actual professional photographer instead of Sean’s iPhone? WELL YOURE IN DOUBLE LUCK! Want to go see them one last time? Hope you’re in Asia!

  1. I’ve Rob Halford in his own band under the moniker of Halford, but never with Priest.
Hopefully, Judas Priest will make it out to the Tampa Bay area in 2012 again.

  2. I’d love to see these chaps live. Hopefully the “last” tour claim doesn’t hold up.

  3. I’m holding out for another tour because this was just an awesome show. Next up might be another bucket list band for me, though…Iron Maiden!??!?!?!
